Aliens entering Tibet need to apply for entry letters (visas). According to the local policy of Tibet, travelers cannot apply for entry letters (permits) by themselves. Travel agencies must book travel services and obtain permission from administrative agencies.

Application and Procedure of Letter of Entry into Tibet

1. Make a detailed itinerary (itinerary) for travel to Tibet and submit it it to our agency.

2. Both sides confirm that there is no problem with the line. According to your requirements, we will quote the cost for your budget.

3. Pay deposit through our public account.

4. Send a scanned copy of your passport and Chinese visa to the travel agency.

5. The approval process of Tibetan letters will be operated by travel agencies (10 working days).

6. We send you a Tibetan letter (EMS by default). After receiving the Tibetan letter, we can purchase air tickets or train tickets by borrowing the Tibetan letter. From arrival in Tibet, special bus service will be provided.

Note: The above policies do not apply to diplomats, journalists, media photographers or government officials.
